Eat that frog!
If you need some help improving your productivity, a great book to read is “Eat that frog”, by Brian Tracy. ‘Eating the frog’ means tackling most important task first, even if it’s the most difficult or unpleasant. Once done, you’ll feel accomplished and the rest of the day will be easier.
Keys 🔑 to eating the FROG!
1. Plan your day the night before. This helps to start your day focused. When planning your day, prioritize what is important and urgent tasks. Ex: Load supplements in your pill case to take with you each day.
2. Apply the 90/10 rule. The 90% of your focus on wellness provides success and 10% does not have to slow down your progress. Expectations of being 💯 is not necessary.
3. Consider the consequences. When you are off track, think about the consequences of not staying focused on the plan. That sweet treat tastes great for 10-15 minutes but can stall your progress for 1-3 days.
4. Practice creative procrastination. If you’re finding it hard to start on track, break it down into smaller, day-to-day focus.
5. Set realistic goals.
6. Eliminate distractions. Sometimes turn off your phone, close your email, and find a quiet place to focus on you.
7. Take breaks. It’s important to take breaks throughout the day to avoid burnout. Get up and move around, or take a few minutes to relax and clear your head.
8. Reward yourself. When you complete a goal, reward yourself with something you enjoy. Example: lose 10 Lbs – pamper yourself with a massage. This will help you to stay motivated and on track.
9. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you’re struggling to stay on track, we are here for Support.
10. Learn to say no. It’s okay to say no to new commitments if you’re already feeling overwhelmed.
11. Forgive yourself. Everyone procrastinates from time to time.
12. Be patient. It takes time to change your habits and become more productive. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately.
13. Communicate with your coach daily and weekly, and spend 15-20 minutes listening to weekly check-ins.
14. Use your food journal to guide you day to day.
By following hints and tips, you can learn to overcome challenges and achieve anything you desire.
