Glyphosate
A groundbreaking new lab study has delivered alarming news: glyphosate (commonly known as Round-Up), the most widely used herbicide in the world, causes lasting brain inflammation, accelerated Alzheimer’s-like changes, and premature death—even after short-term exposure.
The Study:
In a controlled lab setting, scientists divided mice into three groups:
- No glyphosate exposure
- Low-dose glyphosate
- High-dose glyphosate
For 13 weeks, the mice received daily glyphosate doses. During this time, as well as the following six months, the mice’s brains were monitored.
The Results Were Alarming:
• Significant brain inflammation occurred that damaged the brain.
• Alzheimer’s-like pathology accelerated.
• Mice displayed increased anxiety and died prematurely.
• The brain damage persisted even six months after cessation of the daily glyphosate dosing.
The Bottom Line:
Even brief exposure to glyphosate led to long-lasting, brain pathology.
Glyphosate Is Everywhere
Glyphosate is sprayed on crops worldwide, with 300 million pounds used annually in the U.S. Most Americans are exposed daily through:
• Non-organic Grains: Bread, pasta, cereals, crackers.
• Non-organic Legumes: Lentils, beans, peas.
• Produce: Non-organic fruits and vegetables.
• Corn-based foods: Non-organic corn chips, corn syrup, snacks.
• Non-organic Animal products: Meat, eggs, milk (from animals fed glyphosate-treated feed).
Protect Yourself!
By my reading of the science, the evidence is clear:
Avoid glyphosate exposure.
The simplest and most effective way is to choose organic foods.
Organic standards prohibit glyphosate, protecting your brain, health, and future.
